Tools and Supplies You'll Need

  1. A saw for cutting ledgers – a circular saw, jig saw, band saw, or table saw, it is your preference. Any woodcutting blade used with these saws work great and cut smooth and easy.
  2. Screws
  3. Screw gun with the appropriate tip for the screws being used.
  4. Construction Adhesive/Glue - we recommend either PL® Premium Construction Adhesive, PL® Premium Advanced 8X Construction Adhesive which has 8x faster bonding), or Great Stuff Pro.
  5. Caulking gun for applying the Adhesive/Glue and Caulk.
  6. Caulk for Outdoor Installations.

Directions:

Fitted ledgers are the finishing touch on a cornered, Faux Panel® surface. They may look complicated to install, but it’s a project well within the reach of any homeowner. These ledgers fit like a glove and go up in no time with our concise, easy-to-understand instructions. You probably have the tools on hand, and before you know it you’ll be well on your way to professional results.

1.) Cutting Ledger: Use a table or jig saw to cut ledge to fit over corner and panel.

2.) Dry fit the ledger: Place the ledger on top of your panel and note if any adjustments need to be made to have the ledger fit

3.) Ledger attachment: Attach ledger with adhesive and screws.

MAKE SURE to observe and obey all safety rules and recommendations set forth by tool manufacturers and local, state, and federal authorities for any building project including all applicable building codes.
