Installing Majesty Faux Columns™ (Step-by-Step)

PDF Format Download This Page As A Printable PDF

Use these basic guidelines to install our Faux Columns™.

1. Anchoring System is required to install columns on the ground surface.   2. Dig and level the ground for the 24" square preformed pad.   3. Insert auger-style anchors have into the tapered holes of the preformed pad and turn the augers clockwise, drawing them closer to the pad.

4. With the Auger anchors seated five inches above the pad, remove any dirt necessary to insert the tapered split bushings into the tapered hole in the pad.   5. With the auger style anchor five inches above the pad surface, and the excess dirt removed from the tapered hole in the pad, insert the tapered split bushing to finish seating the anchor.   6. This shows the first Auger style anchor and tapered split bushing fully seated to the preformed pad.

7. Liberally apply PL 400 adhesive to the flat, formed bottom of the column.   8. With the adhesive applied, align the column receiving holes with the anchor heads and stand the column in to place.   9. The final look.

We strongly recommend the use of our adhesive where the panels join. This will assist in maintaining the integrity of the installation by preventing any possible flexing or separation of the product due to extreme ambient temperature and humidity changes once the installation is complete. It will also insure that your newly installed panels remain water/weatherproof.
