Description of Oxford Interlocking Faux Bamboo:

Faux bamboo paneling showcases the tranquil beauty of interlocking bamboo reeds, making the sky the limit in creatively bringing this fresh look into your home. The panels come in two different sizes: large and giant, each with two different choices in finishes: young or weathered. This brings your total to four different possibilities. Each has its own unique appeal, and all are casual and yet tasteful enough to adapt to a variety of traditional or modern design schemes. Bamboo gets attention in its discreet, charming way; this faux bamboo will light up kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms or any space where the beauty of natural materials and clean, fresh lines are at a premium. And if it is a Tiki Bar you are interested in making, there is no better material to use than these Faux Bamboo panels.

Even on close examination, you will be completely sold that this is real bamboo. The fine details of color and texture are that accurate. But it’s not the real thing—faux bamboo paneling is even better! These panels are composed of super-tough polyurethane, a substance known for its damage-resistant properties. Outdoors, polyurethane masterfully stands up to harsh climate conditions such as wind, moisture, cold, heat and sunlight, as well as pest and insect damage. Indoors, it withstands all sorts of wear and tear, without cracking, fading or peeling.

Not only is polyurethane stronger than actual bamboo, but it’s lightweight, making it cost-efficient and beyond easy for almost any homeowner to install without the need to hire a professional. Using our simple, step-by-step instructions and tools that are probably already in your possession, you should have the paneling up in almost no time. Whether accents or wall-to-wall covering, faux bamboo will bestow a lovely mystique, charm and grace on your home.

Exactly what I was looking for! (Nov 10, 2008)

Last year I saw an episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and they had designed a tropical room with Oxford bamboo panels. Right away I knew that was exactly what I wanted to do for my daughters room. The panels are perfect. Her room has been transformed from a 8x10 white walled eyesore to the most beautiful room in our home. The install went fairly smooth. The most difficult part of this install was cutting access holes for existing wall outlets. If you can use a tape measure and a jigsaw then you will have no trouble here. I did have some trouble getting the top of the panels to stay flush against the wall. I had to keep constant pressure against the top of the panel for several hours. I am looking forward to using the stacked stone panels in our basement.

Bamboo panels complete tropical lanai (Oct 26, 2008)

While vacationing in Hawaii last year I fell in love with the tropical look of bamboo in all of the resorts and restaurants. I wanted to incorporate some of that look into our tropical lanai back home. Your Large Bamboo panels were the perfect touch. I installed them on the ceiling, trimming them with cypress and the effect was amazing! Everyone who sees our new lanai thinks the bamboo is the real thing! It looks great and with the interlocking ends the panels were easy to install (except for working overhead). Faux panels are great!
