Can I use your Panels around my Fireplace or Stove?Even though our panels are incredibly realistic, keep in mind that they are not real stone, they are made utilizing high density polyurethane. All of our Polyurethane Panels can be used around a Fireplace opening/insert, and/or Stove, as long as you follow the Fireplace Insert/Stove Manufacturer’s specifications for required clearances.

  1. Is this product fire resistant?

  2. Hi Greg,
All of our polyurethane Panels are a Class B Construction Material and can be used around a Fireplace opening/insert, and/or Stove, provided you follow the Fireplace Insert/Stove Manufacturer’s specifications for required clearances.

When using our panels around an open hearth where there will be a “live flame” (i.e., wood, coal, etc.), it is recommended that you use some type of a stone or non flammable border (minimum 6″) before starting our Panels, and then use Class A fire rated panels for the area immediately surrounding the opening. Please note that a Class A fire rating makes the panels more fire and heat retardant, it does not make them fire proof, therefore, our product is not suitable for the inside of your hearth/firebox.

Our Norwich and Regency panels are available with the optional Class A Fire Rating:

    Thank you!
